PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
MHM, in collaboration with , is designing a cutting-edge expansion for the University of Tennessee’s Haslam College of Business. Positioned at the prominent intersection of Cumberland Avenue and Volunteer Boulevard, this new facility will be the largest academic building on UTK’s campus, spanning 243,800 square feet.

The five-story building will feature innovative classrooms, research laboratories, and auditoriums, along with meeting spaces, food service areas, offices, and shared common areas designed to foster collaboration among students, educators, and industry partners. It will house all seven academic departments of the college, serve as a new home for the Anderson Center and Boyd Center, as well as graduate and executive education programs, creating a dynamic and centralized hub for business education.

Strategically located west of the new Student Union, the building’s design integrates seamlessly with the existing campus, with thoughtfully designed plazas that enhance connectivity to the Haslam College’s current facilities and the broader UT campus.

Now under construction and scheduled to open in fall 2028, the Haslam College of Business New Building will provide a state-of-the-art environment that reflects the university’s commitment to preparing the next generation of business leaders.
